Before and After School Care for School Aged Children
The Early Learning Coalition of Seminole prioritizes care for children 0-5. Care for school age children is provided based on funding availability. At the present time there is no funding in Seminole county to serve new school aged children from working families that are economically disadvantaged, as defined in Chapter 1002.87, Florida Statutes. Under Florida law, families with school aged children younger than 13 can still register the children on waiting list, but priority is given to services and quality improvement supports and activities for children 0-5.

The Early Learning Coalition of Seminole takes Fraud Prevention very seriously. Whether it is the responsibility of parents to report accurate information on applications, report in writing within 10 days any changes impacting eligibility, or the responsibility of providers to submit accurate attendance records for reimbursement, the prevention of fraud is vital. The Coalition's Anti-Fraud Plan addresses the detection and prevention of overpayments, abuse and fraud relating to the provision of and payment for the School Readiness and Voluntary Prekindergarten program services. Provider Fraud is a violation of the terms of the contract and addressed in statewide contracts rules. Together we can Monitor, Communicate, and Act on Fraud! To report potential fraudulent receipt of ELC services by parents, providers or the general public, please call either of these two numbers: 407-960-2482 or 407-960-2483 (para asistencia en español).
